It really does seem that prices in West Auckland have not just stabilised, but have started to increase in price. A combination of fewer houses for sale, lower mortgage interest rates (ASB floating rate is said to be the lowest for 40 years), net gains in migration to New Zealand and a big drop in the number of new houses being built have all combined to turn the market around.
More than half of the properties I have sold in the past 3 months have had two or more offers on them. If you are thinking of selling, now would be a good time. I have lots of buyers wanting properties right now!
